Meet The Pastors
Kevin & Leanne Keegan
Senior Pastor
Kevin commenced as Senior Pastor at Dural Baptist Church in 2005. He is a vibrant leader with a passionate heart, and is eager to explore all the wonderful opportunities God has in store for Dural. With a dynamic pastoral team, a growing congregation and newly built facilities, the future is looking very exciting.
Previously, Kevin served as the Senior Pastor of Lakes Baptist Church on NSW Central Coast for 14 years, transforming a small inward focused congregation to a large, healthy and outward looking church community.
In a wider Kingdom Ministry role, Kevin serves as a Consultant, and Supervisor of Consultants for the Baptist Churches of NSW, offering training and input to other churches.
Kevin is married to his wife Leanne, and has 3 grown children. Peter, who is World Vision Relationship Manager (South), Shaun who is studying teaching at Sydney University and Brooke who is in Senior High School.
Brian & Lynne Codrington
Missions
Brian has lived most of his life in the Hills District. A chartered accountant by profession, he operated his own accountancy practice in Dural until 1990. While being a part of the church since 1980, Brian was invited onto the pastoral team of the church in 1991 with the brief of building better connections with the community.
As a result Brian was involved in the initial planning of the Dural Sport & Leisure Centre and took on the role of Centre Manager and Pastor of Community Outreach. He is excited about being part of the team that continues to plan its growth and positive impact on the community of the Hills District, and the opportunities that keep emerging across the globe to be involved in mission and community development through sport and leadership training. These opportunities have led to ongoing mission in the Solomon Islands and in Australian indigenous communities.
Married to Lynne with three children Brian loves sport and the great outdoors, particularly four wheel driving.
Lynne is a qualified school teacher and school counselor, who has long given up teaching, but is involved in the music ministry, small group ministry and mentoring.
Trevor & Robyne Wight
Pastor of Compassion / Director of Care & Concern Ministries
Trevor has been involved in the provision of community welfare services since completing his Social Work degree in 1980. Much of this experience has been in two large church based charities, which have sought to provide a broad range of services meeting individual’s practical, emotional and spiritual needs. Trevor heads up a team of competent and committed people who are enthusiastic at being able to offer support and practical assistance to individuals within our community through Care and Concern Ministries.
Robyne has worked in both commercial and charity settings in the secretarial/ office administration roles with a commitment to developing processes that maintain a people focus while still managing to get the job done. Robyne is currently on full time home assignment, although enjoys using her musical and creative gifts in the creative ministry team at church.
Robyne and Trevor are married with 3 teenage daughters and have been attending Dural Baptist since 1994. We just love being part of a community that is committed to caring for the whole person (physical, emotional, relational and spiritual).
Peter & Samantha Clarke
Young Adults Pastor
Peter has been involved in Youth/Young Adults ministry for the last nine years in full time ministry roles in New Zealand.
Peter grew up in Brisbane and in 1996 moved to Melbourne to complete his Bachelor of Ministries and Advanced Diploma of Theology (Pastoral Studies) at the Bible College of Victoria.
After completion of his formal training the family moved to Hamilton, New Zealand where Peter was the Youth/Young Adults Pastor for three years. He then moved to Palmerston North Central Baptist Church where again Peter was the Youth/Young Adults Pastor for the past 6 years.
Peter and Samantha have just moved back to Australia this year where Peter’s role will be the Young Adults Pastor.
Peter is a passionate preacher and has a heart for young adults. He is very excited to be with Dural and the opportunities that God is going to open up.
Samantha is a very capable administrator and is taking time out to help her family adjust back in Australia.
Peter and Samantha are married with two boys - Leighton and Ryan.
