Young People - Youth

Young people have a variety of ways to participate in the activities at Dural:

YouthThere is sport happening continually at the centre, there are Sunday morning activities, a fantastic lively celebration church service at 6pm each Sunday night, and youth groups every Friday night. Whatever area you want to hook into we give you this commitment that we want to make a
difference in the lives of the Dural youth, impacting them Spiritually, Physically, Emotionally and Socially.

Friday Nights

B Sharp (Years 6-8)

Young adolescents love to run around, scream a lot and have fun with their friends. Fridays (7-9pm) during school term is a great time, with court space reserved, for this to happen. Add to this a team of
enthusiastic young adult leaders (with a few oldies) this is just the ticket for a fantastic night to finish the week. For those wanting to grow spiritually, discussion groups run from 8-9pm.

Transit (Years 9-12)

Need a place to talk, relax, make new friends and explore life’s issues? Older teenagers can do this on Friday nights here in the centre. Groups (based on school year) meet in four locations around the building from 6:30-8:15pm and then gather together from 8:15-9:30pm for some fun activities on the courts. A committed team of young adult leaders will help make this a great night.

In addition look out for special events throughout the year, such as concerts, camps and social outings

Sunday Mornings

PLUG

We group Years 6 - 9 together during the morning service learning more about how to follow Jesus through discussion and Bible Study. We also explore life issues and see what the Bible has to say in regards to different situations and circumstances.  We have some great leaders who really enjoy themselves and make this time a highlight of the week for everyone!

THUD (Years 10-12)

THUD stands for ‘To hear, understand and decide’. We challenge our older adolescents to live courageous lives as followers of Jesus in the world. At Thud, we teach our youth in a practical way how to apply their faith to their everyday lives and to make a difference in the world.

All our staff and leaders who work with children and youth in our church comply with NSW Government regulations as stated in the Working With Children Check.
