Young People – Young Adults

Young Adults (18-30′s)
Being a young adult is an interesting time in life. At Dural we provide a range of different activities & resources for young adults to help them explore & develop their faith, commune with others & get involved in serving the community. Some of these initiatives include:

FEAST Gathering:

The Feast gathering is our 6pm worship service here at Dural, of which a large number of young adults attend and serve. The service consists of a range of different activities such as hospitality, scriptural teaching, music, prayer and any other creative ideas we can come up with.

Salt & Light:

‘S&L’ is a mid week study group night for young adults. It’s held on Tuesday nights (from 7pm) during the school term & normally consists of a 40min large group ‘uni style’ tutorial and then an hour of small group time with a leader. On occasions these small groups will meet at homes & be involved in various outreach activities.

Love Thy Neighbour:

LTN is an initiative that sends young adults out into the local streets of Dural & offers free acts of services to the community. These acts of service normally include house hold domestics & gardening. LTN operates every 6 weeks and  is lead and run by young adults.

Serving our Youth Community :

Many of our young adults serve the youth of our community. Some are leaders at  ’Chicago’ (our Friday night youth group programme), some serving at ‘the Loft’ (our youth drop in centre) & also provide tutoring for children in the local community.

OTHER:

Throughout the year we also provide a number of local & abroad mission awareness trips, as well as our yearly young adults camp (held each February).
If you would like know more or get involved with our young adults ministry please contact Nic Cassar, our young adults pastor.
