Pastoral Care & Fellowship
Hospitality
Newcomers Morning Tea
We have a committed team that staff this table twice a month throughout the year. It has been a welcoming place to bring new folk on a regular basis.
Hospitality Activities
Hospitality activities are held as a way to connect people in our church and to help people get to know a wider circle of folk in our church.
If you would like further information or would like to become part of these ministries please call Cheryl Bollom through the church office.
CD Ministry
You can order copies of Sunday’s messages from both the morning and evening services. The CD’s will be available for pickup the following week. Individual services and series packs are available for ordering and are also available as podcasts on our website. Back copies of services can also be ordered.
Resource Centre
We run a weekly resource centre with additional tools from Koorong and other suppliers. We are continuing to expand the range of resources available to include books, CD’s and DVD’s.
Please come and have a browse - we’d love to serve you.
Membership
Being a Christian involves belonging, not just believing and, as an encouragement towards commitment expressed in membership, we have written a booklet that explains what it means to be a member of Dural Baptist Church.
Active 8’s
A fellowship network for our more mature members of our church family. This network involves hospitality and social outings on a monthly basis. Contact—Peter & Narelle Bowen through Church Reception on (02) 8989 - 0000.
Greeting
Greeting on Sunday Mornings is more than just a friendly smile and handshake. It is a Ministry opportunity that needs to be developed to the point that it is a way of life that allows the goodness and love of God to radiate from our personalities all the time. Hebrews 13:1,2.
We are looking for people who will: Be warm and friendly to all they meet; Actively engage in conversation with those that they don’t know; Ensure that people who are new (even if visiting) do not leave without someone attempting to engage them in a meaningful conversation.
Arrive at church at 9.00 a.m. for a month or two at a time and engage in active greeting duties at the front doors ensuring all visitors and first time attenders are welcomed. Guide them to the ushers to receive the mornings information and to be seated.
While this ministry does require commitment it is extremely rewarding and, with the Holy Spirit’s power, others will feel welcome and you will be blessed.
Hebrews 13:15 & 16.
